Skaldify Journal #1: The engine room before the storefront

18. July 2026

Skaldify is not being built as a pure storefront. The shop is only the visible part. Behind it, a small engine room is growing: WordPress and WooCommerce for products, n8n for automation, an internal task area for agent work and a clear separation between the public brand and internal tools.

The most important principle is simple: visitors should see books, products and public content. Internal systems stay internal. Automation, agent control and technical experiments do not belong unprotected on the public internet.

Why build the foundation first?

A shop can be made attractive quickly. The harder question is whether it will work reliably later: digital downloads, review packages, product data, release dates, payment providers, legal pages and repeatable workflows. That is why Skaldify is being built step by step: controllable technology first, visible product lines after that.

WooCommerce forms the commercial base. n8n is intended to take over recurring work later: generate an eBook package from a finished manuscript, fill review folders, prepare shop data or schedule releases.

This is slower than a quick launch, but more honest. Skaldify should not look bigger than it is. It should become dependable before it becomes loud.
